Business Developer at the Competence Development Unit

The mission of the Competence Development Unit (KUE) involves a responsibility to meet the Police Authority's needs for competence supply measures by steering, supporting, and creating conditions for operations in the area of learning and competence development, including leadership development, as well as planning, implementing, developing, following up, and quality assuring prioritized continuing education and further training by operations and process owners. Furthermore, the unit works with international training, commissioned training, and library services.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a business developer at KUE, you will work to develop, coordinate, and drive competence development initiatives that meet the needs of the operations. The role includes both strategic and operational work and takes place in close collaboration with operational representatives, subject matter experts, and other relevant stakeholders.

Your tasks may include:

  • Leading, planning, and driving development assignments related to education, learning, and competence development
  • Analyzing the needs of the operations and translating these into structured and feasible solutions, such as training programs, working methods, and processes
  • Supporting the operations in the development and restructuring of training and skills, focusing on operational benefit and target group adaptation
  • Contributing to the development of digital and operationally close learning, including blended learning
  • Collaborating with internal and external actors to ensure quality, structure, and appropriate implementation
  • Following up, evaluating, and further developing initiatives based on set goals and identified effects

QUALIFICATIONS

This is an opportunity for you who have:

  • A university degree in, for example, pedagogy, HR, educational science, economics, social sciences, organizational development, or other education that the employer assesses as relevant
  • Documented experience in assignment management and/or project management, with responsibility for planning, implementation, and delivery
  • Documented experience in business development or other structured development work in complex organizations
  • Experience in conducting needs analysis and translating identified needs into structured and feasible solutions
  • Experience in working with competence and/or educational development
  • Very good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish

It is meritorious if you also have:

  • Experience in competence development work in larger organizations, municipalities, or government authorities
  • Experience in digital learning, blended learning, and/or working in a learning management system (LMS)
  • Experience working on complex development or change assignments with many stakeholders
  • Knowledge of accessibility adaptation and user-centered working methods

Personal qualities

To succeed in the role, you need to be structured and have a good ability to plan, prioritize, and drive work forward in a complex environment. You work independently, take responsibility for your assignments, and at the same time find it easy to collaborate and build trusting relationships. You are attentive and communicative, with the ability to lead and coordinate project teams while also coaching and supporting others in leading assignments. You have a pedagogical approach and can clearly and appropriately convey knowledge, working methods, and structure to different target groups. Furthermore, you have a development-oriented approach, are solution-focused, and see opportunities even when conditions change.
